We open with Symphonies of Gaia by Jayce Ogren, a vibrant and evocative work inspired by the beauty and forces of our natural world. From there, the mood shifts to the intimate and poignant Viktor’s Tale by John Williams, a tender narrative drawn from The Terminal.
The first half concludes with the beloved Symphonic Scenario from South Pacific, bringing Rodgers and Hammerstein’s iconic melodies to life in a sweeping orchestral setting filled with romance and nostalgia.
After intermission, prepare for a journey beyond the stars. The second half launches with the Symphonic Suite from Star Trek, featuring themes by Michael Giacchino, Alexander Courage, and Gene Roddenberry—music that captures the wonder, adventure, and optimism of exploration. This is followed by Vulcan by Michael Daugherty, a powerful and atmospheric tribute to the mythology and mystique of the Star Trek universe.
