From The Wreckers by Ethel Smyth: the Overture and Prelude to Act II “On the Cliffs of Cornwall”
We'll start the program with the Overture to Dame Ethel Smyth's timeless opera, The Wreckers, setting the stage for an afternoon of musical adventure. Be carried away to the Prelude to Act II, On the Cliffs of Cornwall, where the locals lure ships and their crews to death and destruction on their rugged coastline.
