What I like most about playing: I enjoy learning challenging and fun compositions. I also enjoy playing jazz, improvising and collaborating with artists of all kinds.

My favorite musical memory: I have many. But one that stands out is having the opportunity to play with the Ray Charles Band for a series of concerts in Los Angeles in 1987.

A fun fact about myself: I particularly enjoy teaching music to young people. I see teaching music to youngsters as my own kind of activism. I feel that putting musical instruments in the hands of young people opens up all kinds of vistas to them.

Three words I would use to describe Salem Symphonic Winds: Musical, Fun, Engaging

Short Bio: I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music, where I received a degree in composition. I am also a graduate of the UCLA film scoring program. I have mainly been a music educator, but I have also worked in the music industry as an orchestrator, music copyist, recording engineer, and jazz performer.
